Here is an adults-only location-based social app. It lets people discover what is happening nearby, share posts, find people to join an activity, offer help or services, send waves, add friends, chat, receive activity notifications, discover city users, subscribe to City benefits, interact with merchants, and pay for offer-related orders.
1. Age Requirement
Here is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. The app asks users to confirm that they are at least 18 before accessing social and business features. We store the confirmation status and timestamp so the service can enforce this requirement.
2. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use Here, we may collect and process the following information:
- Account information, such as email address, login method, authentication tokens, Google account identity data provided during sign-in, and email verification records.
- Profile information, such as nickname, avatar, display ID, biography, interests, often-around places, merchant profile details, and profile settings.
- Age confirmation status, including whether and when you confirmed that you are 18 or older.
- Location information, including latitude and longitude, approximate city key, city display name, location update time, discovery radius, and location sharing settings.
- User content, such as Share, Find, and Offer posts, comments, uploaded images or other media, waves, joins, offer responses, reports, and notification-related activity.
- Social information, such as friend requests, friends list, blocked users, city swipe actions, and conversations you create with other users.
- Messages, including conversation metadata and message content sent through the app.
- Purchase and monetization information, such as Google Play subscription entitlement records, PayPal offer order IDs, order status, capture status, merchant promotion package purchases, impressions, interactions, and billing event logs.
- Advertising information, such as ad requests, ad load/show/click events, mediation adapter status, test device configuration, and data processed by Google AdMob mediation partners including Unity Ads and Pangle.
- Technical information, such as device, app, network, log, error, security, and diagnostic data needed to operate, protect, and improve the service.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Create accounts, authenticate users, refresh sessions, and protect accounts from misuse.
- Enforce the adults-only age confirmation requirement.
- Show nearby Feed, City discovery, distance, discovery radius, and location-based visibility.
- Publish and display posts, comments, media, waves, joins, offer responses, notifications, and chat messages.
- Provide Friends, blocking, reporting, moderation, and child-safety enforcement features.
- Provide merchant profiles, merchant dashboards, promotion packages, impression and interaction reporting, and store-related messaging.
- Process Google Play subscriptions, PayPal offer orders, order capture, entitlement status, support, fraud prevention, and accounting records.
- Load and measure ads through Google AdMob and AdMob mediation partners, including Unity Ads and Pangle, when ad units are enabled.
- Debug errors, monitor abuse, improve reliability, and verify production release behavior.
4. Location and Visibility Controls
Location is central to Here. We use it to calculate distance, show nearby posts and people, update city discovery, and decide whether content should appear within a configured radius. You can adjust discovery radius and location sharing in privacy settings. If location sharing is disabled, your own posts may remain visible to you while being excluded from public nearby discovery, according to the app's current behavior.
5. User Content, Messages, and Safety
Posts, comments, profile content, merchant content, uploaded media, friend interactions, and messages are processed so they can be shown to intended recipients or relevant nearby users. Reports and safety-related records may be reviewed to enforce our rules, remove content, restrict accounts, preserve evidence, or respond to lawful requests.
6. Payments, Subscriptions, and Orders
Google Play processes subscription purchases. PayPal processes offer-related payments. Here stores the records needed to validate subscriptions, create and capture orders, display order status, maintain merchant and promotion records, provide support, prevent fraud, and meet accounting or legal obligations. We do not store full payment card numbers.
7. Advertising and Mediation Partners
Here may show ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may use mediation partners configured for the app, including Unity Ads and Pangle. These partners may receive device, app, ad request, diagnostic, and measurement data needed to load, show, measure, and protect ads. Ad availability, test mode, mediation groups, and partner configuration are controlled through the app's release configuration and the AdMob dashboard.
8. When We Share Information
We may share information in these situations:
- With other users, when needed to show your profile, posts, activity, friend requests, merchant details, messages, or public interactions.
- With service providers that help us host, store, monitor, secure, and operate the app.
- With Google, PayPal, Google AdMob, Unity Ads, Pangle, and related SDK or platform providers when you use subscriptions, payments, or ads.
- With authorities, rights holders, or safety organizations when required by law or necessary to protect users, investigate abuse, or enforce safety standards.
- In connection with a business transfer, such as a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate protections.
9. Retention
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain account and safety records, support orders and subscriptions, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and enforce our terms. Some content may be deleted or hidden from the app while retained in backups, logs, moderation records, or transaction records for a limited period where necessary.
10. Your Choices
- You can edit profile information such as nickname, avatar, biography, interests, and often-around places.
- You can adjust privacy and location sharing settings, including discovery radius and who can send friend requests.
- You can block users, decline friend requests, delete or end your own posts where supported, and report safety issues.
- You can manage Google Play subscriptions through Google Play and PayPal payment approvals through PayPal.
- You can request account or data assistance through the support entry configured in the app.
- You can request deletion of your Here account and related data at https://here.limas.live/delete-account.
11. Security
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect user information, including authenticated API access, token storage protections on Android, server-side permission checks, and moderation controls. No internet service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
12. International Processing
Your information may be processed in countries or regions where Here, our infrastructure providers, payment providers, advertising partners, or other service providers operate. Data protection rules may differ from those in your location.
13. Children
Here is not intended for children or teenagers under 18. If we learn that an under-18 user has created an account or accessed social features, we may restrict or remove the account and related content.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Here changes. The updated version will be posted at the public privacy URL used by the app and app store listing.
